Sales Mobility

We carry out together with UFV the sales training of the managers of all Suzuki dealers in Spain.

Weaving the Future’ is part of the training requirement set out in the policy of Suzuki Motor Corporation and its Spanish subsidiary, and “has the objectives of increasing sales and dealer profitability, as well as increasing customer satisfaction, loyalty and recommendation to their environment“. The six-month programme is currently at its halfway point and will be certified by the Francisco de Vitoria University.

The automotive company Suzuki Motor Ibérica has entrusted Overlap with the sales training of its 61 managers from all the brand’s dealerships in Spain and Portugal. Since December 2023, Overlap has been developing ‘Weaving the Future’, a programme endorsed by the Francisco de Vitoria University (UFV) with an accredited diploma, which deals with the most advanced sales techniques and strategies in the automotive sector. This programme, which is taught both in person and online, will conclude next May.

Weaving the Future’ is part of the training requirements of Suzuki’s parent company and its Iberian subsidiary and was presented during its inauguration by the president of Suzuki Motor Ibérica, Juan López Frade, who made his objectives very clear: “to increase dealer sales and profitability, as well as to increase customer satisfaction, loyalty and recommendation to their environment”.

The automotive sector is transforming rapidly and constantly due to the digitalisation of all processes and the progressive electrification of vehicles, mainly. Changes that, according to the company’s management, require the importance of coordination between each area of activity of the dealership, offering an outstanding customer experience through the various channels of interaction with them. “And we at Suzuki Motor Ibérica are going to help you”, concluded the company’s president. Furthermore, the training programme not only has to be taken on by the dealer managers, but they also have the responsibility to pass on the knowledge acquired to the rest of their teams.

Overlap developed the programme from its inception, manages it in its entirety and delivers all the content. For its part, the UFV guarantees that ‘Weaving the Future’ meets its standards and offers its rooms for the on-site training and the closing ceremony.

The programme, which is being carried out in the university’s classrooms and telematically, is made up of six blocks: The dealership team and the customer experience; General legislation in the sale of cars & electrification, and its impact; Economic and financial management of a dealership; New marketing and its adaptation to the dealership; Products and services in the sector: towards the electrification and mobility service, and Management by indicators of the dealership’s commercial activity.

According to Juan Ruiz del Portal, CEO of Overlap Iberia, “The importance and value that both the management of Suzuki Motor Ibérica and each and every one of its dealer managers attach to professional development and improvement is key to the successful development of the training programme, in which they are also participating with great enthusiasm”.

Santiago García, Overlap Project Manager and head of ‘Weaving the Future’, said: “Leading this Certification Programme in coordination with Suzuki Motor España and the Francisco de Vitoria University is a great opportunity for Overlap. I am very grateful for the participation and involvement of the network managers to broaden both their technical expertise and strategic skills to prepare them to meet the dynamic challenges of the industry with excellence and innovative vision.
