Personal Growth

The ability to make our goals a reality requires a plan for personal growth that contributes to the physical, emotional, mind and spiritual strengthening.

We come up against a constant requirement to maintain an excellent performance despite of the pressures and continuous changes in the environment and in the organization.

The creation of a personal growth plan to develop a comprehensive and integrated vision of the person will reinforce an exceptional performance at both the personal and the professional field.

Jim Loehr has developed a model that embrace four basic interconnected dimensions that enable you to guide the personal growth plan towards success in the personal and professional ambit.

The interconnection between the four dimensions makes the negative aspects in one of them (for example be physically tired) affecting the other dimensions (generating a negative disposition in the emotional dimension, or hindering the concentration in the mental dimension), so that it is fundamental to align the development in all four dimensions.

Physical dimension:

The physical dimension development is located at the base of the pyramid because it will allow you to manage one of the critical resources that we possess: The Energy.

The professional and personal development leads us to deal with increasingly complex situations where the demand for power exceeds our capacity, managing the personal energy accordingly will reduce this “gap” resulting in better performance.

Emotional Dimension:

Ever since Daniel Goleman scoped the Emotional Intelligence concept (1995), the emotions management has become one of the strategies to achieve professional success.

Self-awareness
Self-control/self-motivation,
Empathy,
Social relations Management

Mental dimension:

The third dimension to develop in the personal growth plan includes:

1. The ability to remain focused at the present moment and committed to the aspects that really are important
2. Learning agility as a differentiating element for the success in the new and changing environments.

Spiritual Dimension:

At the top of the pyramid is the spiritual dimension as a motivation, determination and resistance source, as it establishes our key values, purpose and meaning in life.

Initiatives such as enabling “fitness” rooms within the organization or the incorporation of breaks for the yoga practice at work favored the development of this dimensions.
